Morpheus: "I created "Saffyre Blue" almost 10 years ago as a hand-drawn daily strip for a U.K. newspaper and in her first incarnation she was a tough, intergalactic assassin who is abandoned on Earth (naturally there was a LOT less sex in it then) but unfortunately for me this was around the time when newspaper adventure strips were being dropped in favour of humour strips and so she was dumped before I got the chance to develop things. I always had a soft spot for Saffyre, tho' and continued to work on the strip as a pet project and so, when I discovered the wonderful world of the net, and subsequently CGI programmes, everything seemed to fall into place and - here she is.

I'm really grateful to Jpeger and his fellow artists at HIP for giving me the chance to work with them because I'm very much the new boy here with lots to learn and to suddenly find myself working with famous CGI artists whose work I had seen all around the net for years is a great privilege. I should mention here that there is a lot more to Saffyre than what has been seen at HIP thus far - for obvious reasons I've concentrated on the more sexual elements of the character as that's what HIP is all about but I'm working on the idea of website where I will be able to show the full back-story and expand the universe which she inhabits - although I will continue to create her more "hot and sweaty" adventures for HIP of course.

I'm now in the very fortunate position of being able to make a living from my artwork which, after years of boring 9-to-5 work, is a real blessing and aside from "Saffyre" I also create hand-drawn erotic art for a european site called "The Drawing Palace" and am working on a mainstream Sci-Fi strip called "Ex Astris" for ROK Comics (it's still in development but anyone who's interested can google "Ex Astris" for a sneak preview) and I still do the odd (sometimes VERY odd!) hand-drawn and CGI commissioned work (morpheusgraphics@hotmail.co.uk) whenever I get the time. My only regret is all the time I've wasted working for "the man" - I really wish I had bitten the bullet and gone pro years ago 'cos now I'm having the best time ever!!"
